John Denver is a popular musician and singer who has been able to touch many through his music. Many of these were inspired by Colorado. Born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, the singer-songwriter fell in affection with Colorado and then relocated to Aspen. Denver's anthems for his adopted state have attracted many people to Colorado. G. Brown of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame declares the fact that John Denver is unlike any other artist who embodies Colorado. In the year 2011, Denver was named the Hall of Fame's first inductee. Denver has been the symbol of the state to many people across the globe. When I travel, I always come across someone on the opposite side of the world someone of New Zealand and you say "I'm from Colorado and the first thing out of their mouth is Oh John Denver! Brown said. Denver's first Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a short time in folk bands was Take Me Home Country Roads co-written with Bill Danoff.
